Maybe we could get some email addressess from QRZ.com and email them about
the AT award. Of course then at least one would flame you for spamming
them. Recon its worth a shot ? Its your ball game Ron what do you think
? I have been trying to advertise the AT award as much as possible. There
are probably many many hams close to the AT who are not aware of it. I put
a link to it on my webpage.

Sounds like a good weekend backpacking trip. Camp on the line. Operate that
evening for a couple hours in WV. Then get up in the morning, move a few
ft. and operate a couple hours in Md. I am not a winter backpacker unless
the night can be spent in a Potomac Appalachian Trail Club Shelter. I
wonder if there are any on the line ? I could do that this summer. Shoot
maybe Ron and I could meet there for a weekender. I might even get brave
and do it this winter. ................ BBRRRRR .... probably not. :-)

BTW a new award is being developed by the ARS in Europe. Hoping to go world
wide I have worked up a beginning plan for Virginia. Its based on the IOTA
sort of. It is SOTA Summits on the air. Check it out at
http://www.qsl.net/ars-eu/
We are thinking that the US will be an intity and broken down into regions.
Each state being a region with a regional manager. Anyone interested can
join the reflector to help plan the award. Should be alot of fun for folks
who like to work from mountain tops or work those on mountaintops for awards.
