Daryl, Ron is up on the trail all the time. But some of us are not quite so close to the trail as he is - it's about a two hour drive for me to the trail. So I don't get out too often. Plus when I do the xyl and kids want to hike rather than sit while I play radio. So that eliminates many of the trips I do make to the trail. I've only managed to do it from the trail a few times. I'd like to see more activity, but I just can't seem to swing it from here. The other thing I have found the few times I have gotten out is that unless you post the trip the night before or the morning of the trip you don't get many takers. I'm afraid the award will die from lack of activity. In the almost two years since Ron first announced the award I don't think he has given out a half a dozen awards for guy who have worked someone on the trial in every state the trail passes through. VA and PA are not too hard to get, a few states are not uncommon, but there are several states that are almost never on the air from the trail. 73 de Larry.........WD3P in MD http://www.qsl.net/wd3p/ At 12:32 PM 12/2/2001 -0500, Daryl Cline wrote: >I must have missed Goody on the AT.
