I think Mr. Hooker was using an 'old' feature of VSE that he needed a PFT to activate. All that code did was to display a MSG on the VSE system console. After that he used the MSG to trip a FAQS IMOD. The announcement letter seemed to indicate there was a little more to it now... But the details are sketchy. -----Original Message----- From: owner-vse-l@Lehigh.EDU [mailto:owner-vse-l@Lehigh.EDU]On Behalf Of abunton@co.slo.ca.us Sent: Friday, August 22, 2008 11:29 AM To: VSE Discussion List Subject: Re: Signal Quiesce z/VSE 4.2 Martin, I didn't mean to bust your bubble. I found Don's article and he mentions both SIGNAL SHUTDOWN and quiesce. So I may have misspoke. He (or someone else) mentioned that VSE didn't fully support the capability in earlier releases. I rather would have seen the BEAr (which is include as everyone that I asked in IBM states) which is not mentioned.
