Because of problems with CICS journal entry timestamps, having the
mainframe TOD clock run a little slow is the way you would want it to be
off. That way, all time corrections will be to move the clock forward in
time, except for the annual fall DST --> STD time change.

minute every quarter or so. So, we set it a couple of minutes fast each
