Ok, A 3990 is a Control Unit, not a device, so you won't have a PUB entry. However, the most probable devices attached would be 3390's, which have a generic PUB code of x'6E'. More detailed information related to volume size, like number of tracks/cyl, number of cyl's, etc., is kept in the PUB2 and PUBX (Extension) table entries. Dave Ok, no more nits to pick...
