For your info: z/VSE V4.2 has been announced: Scalability enhancements - Up to 512 VSE tasks (two times the 255 limit in z/VSE V4.1) - Up to 32 GB of processor storage - Parallel Access Volume (PAV) feature of IBM System Storage Security enhancements - LDAP sign-on using a new z/VSE LDAP client - System z10 extensions to CPACF - TS1120 're-keying' function - Basic Security Manager (BSM) improvements - Encryption Facility for z/VSE V1.1 as an optional priced Enhanced storage options - SAN Volume Controller access to FCP-attached SCSI disks - TS3400 Tape Library and TS7700 Virtualization Engine 1.4 z/VSE V4.2 is the preferred follow-on VSE product for clients with z/ VSE V4.1, z/VSE V3, and VSE/ESA installed. z/VSE V4.2 is eligible for MWLC pricing with full-capacity and sub-capacity options on z10 and z9 servers.
