We have a s/390 Channel Switch, similar to an IBM 3814, made by a company called Beall. Apparently, Beall is no longer in business, and we don't have, and can't get, service on the switch. In about three weeks, we need to power that beast down, and management is worried that it won't come back up again. Does anyone know if there still might be hardware out there similar to an IBM 3814, or the Beall, or ??? If so, can someone point me to a source? What do we use a Channel Switch for? To switch printers from our z/VSE System to a converter box that allows our Unix systems to print to the printers... Thanks, Dave Dave Stuart Prin. Info.
