Hello Bob,

	I just did that and got a bunch more stuff.  I was hoping that the vtapesrv.w in PRD2.PROD was more up to date.

	It wasn't.

	I have everything install now.

I would go to IBM's download section, of z/VSE, and download the most 
current release from there. Re-install and try again.

Hello Everyone.

 

     I am attempting to install the VTAPE from PRD2.PROD on my z/VSE 
4.1.x system.

I have down loaded the vtapesrv.w (unix no FB 80 blocksize 80), renamed 
to install.class.

 

     First got the

     Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: install

 

     Did the set classpath=.;%classpath%

 

     Now I am getting

 

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassFormatError: Incompatible 
magic value

640549788 in class file install

 

My version of JAVA is

 

java version "1.5.0_11"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_11-b03)

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_11-b03, mixed mode)

 

     I seem to remember that this is a problem.  Can someone verify 
please?
