Hi Mike,

Good point. Hadn't thought about that. We have a PNET Pnode defined to the State. I'll have to call what contact(s) I have at the State, and see what they say. That would simply the process, remove the need for the SFTP Server, ...

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, we migrated our SNA PNET connection to TCP to run PNET between us and our sister datacenter running Z/OS. If they already have TCP and a network connection, they may already have whatever you need to push PNET over TCP.

Hi Tony,

That would possibly require installation of software on the State system(s). Ever tried to get a State agency to install some software at *your* request?

Now, me having to install software to support new stuff on their end is an entirely different matter...

It was Leo that said that there was a program included with the CSI
stack that is an email client.

What about NJE over TCP/IP as a replacement to the SNA line?

The proposed solution is to 'drop' the reports on a Secure FTP Server, and send an email when the reports are there. Sounds like manual intervention, to me. So if I can automagically read/process the email, and programmatically kick off the job to go retrieve it...
