Use the OSA card with a port defined as OCC (I think it is OCC). Anyway, the OS running in an LPAR will see non-SNA terminals, very similar to what they saw as "dialed" devices. I need to ask: assuming that the IP stack in the client VSE is NOT accessible (since it is on the client's network, to which we, the support team, have no access), how do we "simulate" the "DIAL" command? Presently, all access to the client's VTAM-based applications (CICS, etc.) is done via a DIAL command from first-level VM. If VM disappears, how will we be able to access the client's system? Is there an LPAR-based equivalent? From WHERE do we issue this equivalent command? Thanks, in advance. David Wakser
