It depends where it trapped it. There are several transactions that TELNET01 will call as it does a RETURN, and one spot where it will not. If it needs to next do a screen write it will terminate with a TELW, and it will call itself to do that. TELR if it needs to do a read next and does a RETURN to cause that to happen, TELC if there is session control to happen next and does a RETURN for that, and nothing if the session really does terminate (no reason to pass control). I'm looking at the source code now, so I'm pretty certain about that.
