Thanks, Ed. However, I believe that it is functionality which would not be able to be utilized, rather than needing to "dumb down" the application. Since I know nothing about the application yet, I cannot even fathom what features might be required for the project, but missing in VSE. But the DB/2 that comes with z/OS is UDB compliant, and the VM & VSE version is not even close. I would guess that you would have to "dumb down" any SQL statements to something that was compatible with both environments. And while that could work, I would guess you could see performance problems. Again, I am just talking off the top of my head without any real experience to base it on.
