Have you tried: // EXEC FTPBATCH,SIZE=FTPBATCH,PARM='ID=01,UNIX=BIN' (not sure of the 'ID=' on your system, but try the UNIX=BIN) Frank M. I seem to get the best results using EBCDIC as the transfer type but it always breaks the records when a X'15' is encountered within the data. There should be a facility to accomplish this within a VSE environment in order to transmit files from point to point on VSE regardless of the imbedded content. -- Kevin Corkery Independent Consultant Voorhees, New Jersey -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Ed Zell MF" <ewzellmf@illinoismutual.com> > Kevin, > > If you do a binary transfer does it still mess with the data? > > > Ed Zell > Illinois Mutual Life > (309) 636-0107 > > > > > > I have a variable blocked SAM-ESDS (actually a Dr "D" backup) that I > want to FTP from one VSE system to another.
