Thanks for the suggestions, Bob. We did take a dump and then restarted
ICCF. Unfortunately this was on our 2.6.3 system (to be converted after
WAVV to 4.1) so I will have to do the debugging myself. I was hoping that
I could identify the subtask that was hung and satisfy that and all would
be well, but no such luck!

Well I would issue the following AR commands:
DUMP SUP,cuu
DUMP SVA,cuu
DUMP F8,cuu
Then issue:
CANCEL F8, NODUMP
Restart ICCF.
Then do one of the following or both if you wish:
1). Load the DUMP tape into INFO-ANALYSIS. Then print it using CICS
INFO-ANALYSIS. Locate the Internal Trace table and try and figure out
what was going on.
2). If you are running on a supported release of z/VSE open a PMR with
IBM and subsequently send the dump to them.

Subject: ICCF hung
Our ICCF partition is hung. I can enter a MSG F8 for ICCF and it will
prompt a replid, but won't display anything back. I did a status for F8
and have a lot of waiting on I/O or ECB to post subtask but can't tell
what
it is waiting on. What next?
