Isn't utilization of the IEXM transaction part of the REXX CPU MONITOR, described int eh REXX/VSE Reference manual? I would think that would show how to do it.

BTW, IEXM does give real CPU times, under VM, unlike FAQS, Vollie, etc, that doesn't understand the VM world.

Rich,

I have an 'exit' program I wrote many years ago that takes the data from the IEXM transaction, and puts it into a VSAM file for future use. Any interest?

I started working with a collection process using IEXM for the Xymon
(Hobbit) Client for z/VSE. The process that I had to use had alot of
moving parts, so I didn't have that much faith in it.

As to the accuracy, if you believe the System Activity Display the
information is accurate. I have no reason not to believe it. At the
time I just couldn't come up with an easy way to get to it with REXX
(which the client is written in).
