Ron ... We have an Xcetra/36 tape drive that attaches to our Flex-ES system. This unit can read and write in 3480 format as well as 3490/3490E format. I can't remember how much it cost but it was provided by our Flex system integrator (T3) as part of the deliver system. We have used it for more than four years and have not had any issues with it. The only downside is we have to "force" 3480 write mode via manual settings on the drive to create our once-per-month 3480 tape for our outside laser print vendor; we normally want everything to write in 3490E mode. -- Kevin Corkery Independent Consultant Voorhees, New Jersey -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Ron Ashley" <rashley@hsvutil.org> > The third party software level 2 says they have set up and support starting > at vse 2.7.1.
