Subject: New list status and hints

As of an hour ago, 86 folks had successfully subscribed to the new list. I noticed a number of bounces. Most of them fell into these categories: 1. Multi-part messages: combined ASCII and HTML version of the message: please set your composer on ASCII only/plain text only/whatever it might be called. Both subscription and messages to the list may be only in ASCII (or its European equivalent). 2. Faulty copying of the send-back code or (more common) the majordomo address. Remember to remove punctuation from around the address if you use the block copy and paste means of addressing the reply. All remote requests needing approval--mostly for Wxxx@arrl.net--have been now approved by the system. -73- LB, W4RNL
