Hi there, I just finished writing a How-To article on a magnetic loop I recently built for shortwave listening. This receive-only loop is built from readily available materials and it is easy and cheap to build. The loop covers a frequency range of about 5 MHz to 22 MHz. The article contains construction details, drawings, pictures and also includes a sound sample showing the dramatic difference a loop can make over the built-in whip antenna on a portable shortwave receiver. Included are also images and details on a small tripod I built that can be used for other antennae as well. In fact, I originally built the tripod to mount hamstick type antennae on when I was an apartment dweller. The article can be accessed through my website at: http://www.kr1st.com/swlloop.htm 73, --Alex KR1ST http://www.kr1st.com
