Thanks Helen: I am mainly looking for something to replace the starches I have given up. I wondered about Quinoa or Millet or Amaranth to have a SMALL portion with lunch or supper. Because I spiked over 200 with just plain ordinary unsweented shredded wheat I wonder if I will be able to eat any of the more interesting grains. I did stick about a tb of wheat germ in my egg beaters this morning & had no bg response to it nor have I had any bg response to the milled flaxseed I have been using in various foods. cappie T-2 / NI Greater Boston Area cappie@webtv.net
