Hi Carole, thanks for writing and the good wishes and thank you so much for the great advise and tips. I didn't even know that i would need ice packs for the eye surgery.
You know, i don't want any of this. Been fighting it all this time and now i have to do it. The teeth, because MediCal will be no more, after the 30th of this month and the eyes, because i will lose my sight, if i don't get them done ASAP.
The feet, i already know that i will lose at least 3 toes and if i don't get the bypass done on my legs, i will lose them, as well.
Carole, i am not a happy camper, i was hoping to go into the nursing home and get it all done there, where i can be taken care of and most of all, have proper pain control.
Yes Carole, they will give me dentures and that's what's scaring me. What if they don't fit right, or giving me pain, i can never go back. I am freaking out with all this going to happen. I am so scared, my heart is beating so hard and fast, it feels like it's going to pop. Very high anxiety. I wish they would give me a sedative. I don't think my system can handle it all.
That's one of the reasons i didn't even want to write. No sense getting everyone else upset. I was going to write, after it was all done, if i survived it all. Really don't have a good feeling about it. Maybe it's just my nerves.
After the teeth are out, the eye surgeon is going to drill a hole into my eye, to create a channel for drainage and then remove the cataracts. What if he slips?
The legs, they are going to take a graft from somewhere else and put them into my legs. That's not so scary, neither is the amputation of the toes, nor the shoulder surgery. I just don't look forward to the months of pain in the middle of the heat. I don't like summer, because i really suffer more then.
Again, thank you for your comforting words, my friend and all the good advise.
Be well and have a good night. Hugs, Marion

Marion, you have been in my thoughts. Here is wishing you success in your dental surgery. I hope you have prepared food that you can eat. I have become sorta of expert on eating without teeth of any kind. Everything is cooked extra long, or cut up real small. She has a food chopper, which minces food. When will you get dentures?
Are you going to be at home after your cataract surgery? Make sure that you have plenty of frozen food veggies, bags of lima beans work best. Use them as ice packs on the eye. Felt as it the eye was full of sand. Keeping the eye iced, and eating lots of C, helps it heal faster. Keep one in the freezer while using the other one.
Write when you can. I wish I had some exciting news, etc to relate. Now it is summer, am walking everyday for abt 45 mins.
Your friend, Carole Beth

Hi Carole, long time, no talk. I have not been doing well, therefore not been on my computer much. Tomorrow morning i am getting all of my teeth pulled out, then i have to have eye surgery for the glaucoma and cataracts, after that bypass surgery for PAD, then my feet and right shoulder.
Anyway, i have been extremely tired and in a lot of pain, also dealing with my IBS, daily migraines and nausea.. Just can't seem to sit up very long anymore and my vision has become so bad, it takes me forever to type out a note, keep hitting the wrong keys and have to keep going back to correct.
Also, i think something is wrong with my brain, because i can't seem to think straight, get easily distracted and feel like i'm in a brain fog all the time. All i want to do is sleep.
I sure hope you have better news for me, about you.
Wishing you and all of our list mates the very best. Hugs, Marion

Have missed all the normal chatter and posts. Marion, where are you? Have you had your surgery? What abt your parents? Me, we are the same. Same ol' boring, 24/7 life.
Carole Beth
